HHS Career Club Students Place in State Competition

Several career clubs at Heritage High School qualified for state competitions and placed on March 21-23.

For SkillsUSA the Heritage video team (Jeffrey Polley, Camden Green, Jackson Martin, Luke Bussey and Kasey Capote) were runner-ups in the ESE Video Challenge State Competition in Atlanta.  By placing 2nd the team received a video camera, wireless microphone system and a new tripod for the Broadcasting class!  Congratulations to Matthew Funderburk for a 2nd place finish in Drafting and Design!

FFA traveled to the University of Georgia this past weekend to compete in the State Career Development Events (Competitions). Our Wildlife Team had a 4th place finish out of the top 12 region teams. Taylor Dyer placed 1st in the Wildlife Contest with his individual score. Our Nursery/Landscape Team placed 9th out of the top 12 region teams. Congratulations to these students for their hard work and quality representation of Heritage. Wildlife Team Members: Taylor Dyer, Brad Wattenbarger, Hank Powell, Ethan Clark. FBLA also held their state competition recently.  Congratulations to Allen Steele who finished 5th at the FBLA State Competition!
