  • The football team at Marist and competition cheerleaders in Columbus completed their season this weekend.  Congratulations for both teams for competing at STATE and representing HHS so well!  Thank you to the Band and Dance team for their contributions to this football season!
  • Congratulations to the wrestling team for their 3rd place finish at the Knights Duals in Woodstock.  The Generals defeated Marietta 55-19, River Ridge 54-29, Gainesville 84-0 (tied state record for most points scored in a match) and Mt. Pisgah 40-39.  The Generals only loss was to 7A Cherokee 27-45.  Ryan Craft, Ian Burgett, Drake Parker and Seth Ingle went 5-0.-Congratulations to the members of the FFA Floriculture Team (Liana Greene, Jonah Hanshaw, Carmen Gayler, and Ethan Clark) for their 2nd place Area 1 finish and for qualifying for STATE competition at Fort Valley in February!  This is the first time our FFA students have qualified for STATE in Floriculture!
  • Congratulations to the HHS students who were selected through an application and interview process to represent Catoosa County in the STATE Application process for the Governor's Honors Program:  Robert Alan Lyle, Eric Wootten, Victoria Clark, Stephen Scott, Cameryn Birtwistle, Neal Brite, Lucy Hicks, Brynn Dean, Katelyn Graves, and Lillyann York!
  • Mallory Lowe (softball at UT Martin) and Madelyn Thompson (track at UTC) will sign their athletic scholarships at HHS on Thursday, November 15th at 2:00 pm!  Congratulations!
  • Seniors who have not had their senior portrait made can sign up in the main office for an appointment with Lifetouch to have their portrait made at HHS on November 28th or December 5th.  The sitting fee is $15 or $30 depending on number of poses/clothing changes.
  • For a limited time and for a limited number of students, Georgia NW Tech is waiving the $25 application fee for HHS seniors.  See Mr. Franks in the school counseling office for fee waiver information.  First come, first served.
